The sphere form is exactly where fiberglass construction shows its advantage over other materials.
A perfect sphere in ceramic or concrete at 60 cm diameter is extremely heavy, fragile at the rim of the concave opening, and expensive to produce with consistent surface quality. In fiberglass, the sphere is molded in a single continuous shell - no joins, no seams through the body of the form, no structural weak points. The surface quality is consistent across the entire curved surface, the wall thickness is even throughout, and the finished piece is light enough to move and reposition by hand.
No rust - the entire structure is fiberglass composite. Nothing to oxidize, nothing to corrode, regardless of moisture exposure or chemical contact from soil and fertilizers.

Built-In Drainage

For indoor use, a matching saucer or liner can be placed beneath the planter to catch drainage. The sealed fiberglass exterior won't cause condensation damage to flooring or surface materials.
